Kinda funny, you can actually play Mario Kart DS perfectly with only the bottom screen
in hindsight, you would have to completely change the controls to fit the Wii because some ds games are completely unplayable with just the bottom half.

I so wished for Nintendo to make a DS Player for the Wii when I was a kid. In hindsight, the lack of an appropriate accessory port as well as the touchscreen would have been big problems with getting this to work. Wonder if this was an idea at one point and the Wii U Gamepad was something that came out of it, considering they threw DS games on the Wii U Virtual Console.
Just imagine if this WAS real, and no one knew about it for over 15 years
Like someone found a video of a 9 year old kid using a phone that’s very poorly pointed at the screen shows that it’s a real thing.

When i was younger my DSi’s cartridge slot broke and I couldn’t play any games with it until it was fixed, so i actually tried to put my cart of Mario Kart DS in my Wii’s disc reader and it broke that too 💀
